  I have been a patient at Dove Monroe and Dove IT for 20+ years and have received exceptional health care. With the exit of Doctor Angela Barron at the IT office, the doctors are still very good but the support staff has taken a tremendous turn for the worse. I am on an SSRI which up until now has been managed seamlessly. I was denied a refill due to a request from my insurance company for an unexpected preauthorization since the FDA changed its rules this past October. LONG STORY short, after 4 calls to Dove IT, 2 calls to the pharmacy, and 2 calls to BCBSNC, in my estimation, Dove IT is where the chain broke down. Apparently they are in a tech war with my pharmacy over faxing preauthorizations vs. electronic something or other and simply throw away faxes. This is Day 3 of no SSRI which is not supposed to be stopped abruptly. Come to find out when a patient calls DOVE IT, calls are filtered through a service outside of the office. I would rather deal with someone grumpy who gets something done vs. deal with people smiling at me on the phone saying that they are dealing with it and that someone will get back to me, and then never do. I plan to return to the Monroe Office. In a nutshell, I believe the support staff is insincere in dealing with patients.

  I have been a patient of Dove Medical since I relocated to NC in 2009. The provider I see is Mileah Simpson-Leek and she is the best. She has helped me get through the aftermath of cancer treatment and is just so easy to talk to and understand. I look forward to my check-ups with her. The office staff, from what I have experienced, at Indian Trail is very nice, helpful, and efficient.
